High Cube Shipping Containers
Pick the high cube when people will be working inside, not just storing things. The roof sits 300mm higher than a standard unit — room to stand under a fluorescent batten, rack pallets three high, or fit vents above head height so a Bundaberg summer doesn't cook the space.
- 2.69m internal height, against 2.39m on a standard unit
- The usual pick for workshops, packing sheds and fit-outs
- Extra wall height above the doors leaves room for high vents
- 20ft and 40ft

Figures are guide prices, ex GST, for the container only. Cartage is added once we know the address and the access, and stock changes as units come and go — 07 4152 3388 gets you the current figure for your job.
As-is grade: As-is units are sold as seen and are not sold watertight — watertight applies to the cargo-worthy and new single-trip grades only.
Headroom, and somewhere for the heat to go
The obvious gain is standing room: 2.69 metres inside lets a person work under lights and shelving without ducking, which is why almost every workshop or packing-room setup we supply starts as a high cube.
The quieter gain is ventilation. Steel shut up in coastal humidity sweats overnight and drips on whatever is stored. The taller walls leave space for vents up high on both ends, so air can move across instead of sitting still. Salt air, steel and the Coral Coast goes into more detail.
